Our Philanthropy
In Alpha Chi Omega, we are dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for survivors of domestic violence. Each year, we work to donate to local organizations and plan events aimed towards giving back to the Sacramento community. We hold a philanthropy week dedicated to raising money, supporting non-profit local organizations such as WEAVE and My Sister's House, and encouraging Panhellenic participation on campus. Some events include tabling for Denim Day, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, Mr. and Miss ACHIO, Luminary, and clothing donations.

Along with our philanthropy, we also participate in other Panhellenic organization philanthropy weeks. This is a way for us to give back to different causes, actively help the Sacramento community, and grow relationships with the other organizations.

Mr. and Miss. AXO is a pageant event where other Panhellenic Organizations participate and run as honorary members of Alpha Chi. This event is a way to raise awareness throughout the Sacramento community, raise money, and create baskets with necessities such as clothes, hygiene products, and more. All the money raised and baskets made will go to our philanthropy and to local non-profit organizations.
Along with this, Luminary is another event AXO holds. Luminary raises awareness, not just throughout the Panhellenic organizations, but throughout the entire Sacramento State University. Speakers are invited to campus to share personal stories, as well as speakers and representatives from My Sister's House and WEAVE. This allows the community to share their experiences, listen to others' stories, learn what to do in certain situations, and educate Sacramento State students about the resources available.
